Taking care of your flowers
- Check your flowers daily:
Keep the vase, container or liner filled with fresh water. Even if the container has floral foam, you should keep the water level high to promote long lasting flowers. - Use Flower food:
Flowers will last longer if flower preservative is added to the water. Make sure to follow directions on the packet. - Re-Cut their stems:
Every few days, remove the flowers from the design and re-cut the stems (only in vase designs). Remove 3/4″ to one inch from the bottom of the stem and be sure to cut the stem at an angle to allow the flower the best chance to take up water. - Use a Knife:
When cutting the stems always use a sharp knife not scissors. If you must use scissors then do so underwater to avoid any air bubbles from forming in the stem. This will allow your flowers to last 22% longer! - Avoid heat:
Do not place your flowers on top of a T.V. or near heat (such as a vent)
